Manifestations

This dried meat fair or the so-called Pršutijada has grown so much over time so that it is considered to be a genuine national festival. It gathers more than 10,000 visitors from the whole country, while the opening ceremony is always attended by the government high representatives.

It is a commercial event that became somewhat ethnographic, given the exhibition of the product that is typical for this area. Besides the dried meat fair, the program also includes lectures on rural development, along with a few traditional performances.

The festival takes place in January in Mačkat village.
