Klisura monastery

At about 13 kilometers from Arilje towards Ivanjica lies the Klisura monastery. It is believed to be the Archbishop Sava’s endowment, dating back to the 13th century. The monastery complex is quiet with the sound of Moravica river rushing under the small bridge.
Its name is derived from the small Moravica gorge (gorge being klisura in Serbian).
